Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures provides ample opportunities to enjoy Georgia and Florida from a different perspective, and adventures change continuously throughout the year.

Outdoor Adventures offers a wide variety of activities and trips for the outdoor enthusiast.  If you are interested in one of our programs, would like to register for an upcoming trip or have any ideas for trip locations and activities, call us at 257-1375.

Deep Sea Fishing
Cast your line into the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean.  Trips vary in cost, but include equipment and transportation.  A fishing license is required for all trips.

Scalloping
Keaton Beach in Taylor County, Fla. is one of the few places in Florida where you can harvest your own scallops, and Outdoor Adventures can take you there. The season runs from July through September. You can snorkel in the Gulf of Mexico in search of your dinner.  Prices vary and include all equipment necessary.  Costs don’t include a salt water fishing license.

Fishing Licenses
Recreational fishing licenses for Florida can be purchased at this link or by calling 1-888-347-4356.  To purchase a Georgia fishing license, contact Grassy Pond at 559-5840.  For a Moody AFB fishing permit, contact Equipment Rental at 257-2989.

Kayaking/Canoeing
Paddle down different rivers throughout Georgia and Florida, such as Ichnetucknee Springs, Santa Fe and the Suwannee.  Trips are available to everyone, regardless of skill level and experience.  All equipment and transportation is provided.

Wilderness Challenge
Wilderness Challenge is a team and individual sports challenge held every year.  It consists of a 5K trek, run and mountain bike race through natural and altered terrain, a 5-man speed paintball competition, log carry, and kayaking.  Points are awarded for each stage completed.  The champions receive a trophy, T-shirt and bragging rights.  Individual event trophies are also awarded.  Please contact Outdoor Adventures for more information.

Archery
The archery range is available free of charge to everyone, and is maintained by Outdoor Adventures.  Periodically, we offer archery clinics taught by a local archer.  If you are interested in a clinic, please contact Outdoor Adventures at 257-1375.
