Classes
The Freedom I Fitness and Sports Center offers daily aerobics and cycling classes.  Check out our monthly calendar.

Intramural Sports
This program provides organized, competitive sports between base units.  A variety of sports are offered, such as flag football, softball, basketball, racquetball, swimming, tennis, golf, volleyball, wallyball, archery, bowling, soccer and paintball.  The program is available to assigned active duty personnel and Airmen on TDY for over 30 days.  Department of Defense employees and family members over age 18 can participate with their unit commander's approval.  For more information call Freedom I at 257-1621.

USAF Sports Program
Do you consider yourself an athlete and enjoy competing? The Air Force has a program for you. The Air Force Sports Program (AFSP) is designed to allow active duty, National Guard and Air Force Reserve personnel an opportunity to participate at Air Force, Armed Forces, national and international sports events.

An important ingredient within the selection criteria is recent higher-level competition and significant performances in the chosen sport.  Athletes must obtain supervisor, commander and Fitness Center director's endorsements.  Those athletes selected for training are invited to attend trial camps and other Air Force championship events.  Trial camps are short in duration, physically demanding, mentally challenging and highly competitive.  Athletes should be in top condition for the trial camps to best showcase their talents and abilities for the coach and other officials who will select the Air Force team.  Click here for more information (link to http://usafsports.com/).

Special Events/Programs
Throughout the year the Fitness Center hosts an array of fitness activities, including several fun runs/walks, bike and swim challenges, various tournaments, bench press and squat competitions, plus a variety of other fitness challenges.

Super Sports Day - This is an annual friendly competition between base squadrons with 25 different events, such as tennis, softball, frisbee, horseshoes and tug-of-war.  Winners are awarded trophies or T-shirts and bragging rights.  DoD civilians are eligible, and encouraged, to participate.

Youth Fitness

One of the Fitness Center’s most exciting programs gives Moody’s youth the opportunity to work out in a safe and comfortable environment.   Kids ages 6 to 10 meet Tuesday and Thursday and ages 10 and up meet Monday and Wednesday.   All classes are  from 2 to 3 p.m.

Massage Therapy
The Freedom I Fitness and Sports Center offers a massage therapy room, staffed with two licensed massage therapists.  A massage can help improve blood circulation, muscle relaxation and range of motion.  The increase of endorphins levels is actually one of the greatest benefits of massage. The fitness center’s massage therapists offer the following massages to meet customer needs:

  • Swedish Massage
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Sports Massage
Prices for massages are $25 for 30 minutes, $45 for a full hour and $70 for 90 minutes.  To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 257-1621.

Family Friendly Fitness Room
This room at Freedom I Fitness & Sports Center allows parents to bring their children ages 6 months to 5 years with them to the center.  The room has an adjacent area for children to play safely while mom or dad watches from the other side of a divided half-wall while exercising.  The children's area is equipped with age-appropriate toys and books, as well as a separate children's bathroom.  However, due to the size of the area, only five children can safely play in the family fitness center at a time.  Parents may not leave their children in the room to go elsewhere in the center.
