Tournament awards are 80% of entry fees to top 3 positions as follows:  40% to 1st, 25% to 2nd, and 15% to 3rd.  The remaining 20% of tournament fees will be utilized for club supplies, annual awards, and door prizes to be given away at each tournament.  In the event of a tie in the top three positions, the award money for those positions will be divided equally.  Optional big-fish pot is 100% to big-fish.

TOURNAMENT PAIRINGS & LAUNCH ORDER:

  1. Members have the opportunity to choose their partner from within the club on two occasions during the tournament season.  Members may not fish together more than two times per tournament season when this option is utilized, regardless of which member used the option.

  1. Members have an unlimited opportunity to choose non-club member guests to fish tournaments with them as their partner, provided that another club member is not denied the opportunity to fish as a result.

  1. Starting positions (launch order) and Boater/Non-Boater pairings will be assigned in a draw conducted at the Wednesday pre-tournament meeting.  In order to participate in the draw you must notify the Tournament Director prior to or at the Wednesday pre-tournament meeting of your intention to fish and your status i.e. Boater, Non-Boater, Club-Member pairing option, or bringing a Guest.  Non-Boater Club Members have pairing priority over Guests as long as they make their intent to fish known prior to or at the Wednesday pre-tournament meeting.

  1. Non-Boater Members who express their intent to participate after the meeting will be paired with a Boater through a draw conducted by the Tournament Director only if there are available positions with Boaters.

  1. Boater Club Members may fish by themselves only after all Non-Boater Club Members have been paired.  Any Boater Club Members with a track record of showing up at the tournament by themselves without notifying the Tournament Director of their intention to fish and status prior to or at the Wednesday pre-meeting are subject to disqualification from the Tournament at the discretion of Club Officers.

  1. Fishing is permitted in any waters accessible by boat from the designated Launch Site. Exceptions:  Fishing is not allowed within fifty yards of the launch site or fifty yards of another tournament boat that is anchored with the trolling motor in the up (stowed) position.  The boat that takes up a position first has the right to that spot.  All fishing must be done from inside the boat.  Fishing from docks, bridges, shoreline or wading is not permitted.   In case of illness, injury or severe weather, take appropriate actions but do not fish if you’ve beached, docked, or trailered your boat.

  1. No live bait may be used or possessed.  Fish must be legally caught on rod & reel with artificial lures.  When sight fishing for bedding fish, the fish must be hooked in the mouth and not snagged or it must be immediately released.  Trolling (under the power of combustible motor or dragging bait using trolling motor), netting, or gigging is not permitted.

  1. In the event of mechanical failure or emergency, any club member can weigh in other participants fish.  Every effort will be made to assist any boater in distress.  Personal safety takes priority above all.

  1. All Tournaments are Catch & Release, all fish will be returned to the water.  An exception will be made for Lunkers as determined by the individual catching the Lunker.

  1. All fish will be bagged before being brought to the scales.  Fish should be kept in the live well until Tournament Director announces he is ready to begin weighing.  Once weighing begins, participants should make every effort to conduct the weigh-in a timely manner.

  1. Only largemouth, smallmouth and spotted (Kentucky) bass will be weighed.  Bass will be measured on a flat board, closed mouth to tip of the tail fin pinched.  The catch limit is 5 fish per person unless otherwise authorized.  No bass less than 12 inches will be weighed.  Any entrant presenting a bass under 12 inches to the judges will be penalized their largest fish.  No courtesy checks will be afforded.  Any fisherman weighing a dead fish will be penalized 2 tenths of a pound for each dead fish presented.  Boaters arriving late for weigh-in will be assessed a one-pound penalty for each minute they are late.  Any participant arriving more that 15 minutes late for weigh-in will be disqualified.  The Tournament Director’s time is the official time.  Late penalties are assessed under the Tournament Director’s discretion.

  1. In the event of a tie for total weight, the angler with the one heaviest fish will take that place.  In the event of a tie for Lunker the angler with the heaviest total weight will take Lunker.
